Typical InstallationVehicle fitted with a batteryi-track contains all the items required to fit the system and is completely self contained. No specialist skills are required to fit it, unless you want to power it (recharge) from the vehicle etc. The i-track should be hidden and then tested to ensure that the GPS receiver is able to work (any location, except completely surrounded by metal is fine). The SIM card slots into the i-track and is sealed behind a rubber cover. System OperationThe i-track is not supplied with a SIM card as this gives you the freedom to choose network and payment terms. We recommend a pay-as-you-go SIM card that can be topped up without having to be removed from the unit. Several mobile phone networks will provide SIM cards free of charge. Once installed the i-track is interrogated via calling it from any phone. i-track 'hangs up' and then responds by text message with its 'Lat & Long', which can then be plotted on a map using http://maps.google.co.uk and the vehicle/i-track location can be easily found/seen. i-track also gives you its speed and direction information, if moving, and its remaining battery life.
