Trailer Vision 2 Wired Camera (TV2w)

The peace of mind, security and confidence that your horse and trailer/box are safe in transit. TV2w is a complete camera and monitor system. The TV2w system is typically used in vehicle applications (12/24V) whether rigid body or trailer*. Easy installation: requires the camera mounting to the vehicle, connecting the the vehicle electrical system and the AV cable running to the monitor; the monitor is usually mounted using the included windscreen mount and is powered from the cigarette lighter. The monitor can only be used with one camera.

Why Choose a wired system over the wireless camera?

People choosing a wired system usually do so because they are concerned about interferance on a wireless camera system. We have had very few reported problems with the TV2 wireless system but you may like to consider a wired solution if:

• You have a horse box not a trailer (ie there is no need to disconnect the monitor from the camera once installed**)
• You will be using the camera/monitor within a few meters of another 2.4GHz source, ie bluetooth/wireless internet and cannot select an alternative channel (NB the TV2 is available in 3 different channels).
• You want a wide angle lens camera, don't mind fitting the wire between the camera & monitor and don't need a 2nd camera.
• You are not put off by the the extra installation.
• Personal choice

Typical Installation

Camera

The camera is usually mounted high in the box/trailer behind the horse. The bracket is adjustable for roof or wall use and is attached by bolts/self tapping screws (bolts/screws included)#. The AV cable is already wired into the camera and needs routing around the vehicle to where the monitor will be placed. The camera is connected to the vehicle electrics by the red(live) wire and black (neutral) wire -The internal lighting circuit (supply side) is often a convenient source. The camera automatically adjusts for light levels.

Monitor

The monitor mounts in the cab/vehicle using the windscreen suction mount (supplied) or alternative hard point fixing (not supplied). The monitor plugs into the cigarette lighter socket (cable/fittings supplied) and the AV cable plugs into the rear of the unit. That's it; the monitor picture can be adjusted for brightness and orientation.
