Tailored (Long Range) System:
A tailored stable/security system offers the best range, flexibility, performance and economy to meet your specific requirements. The system is based on the same digital wireless systems that we use in our mobile systems, delivering the same interoperable capabilities:
- 3.5"/7" colour LCD monitor with built-in wireless receiver, or digital receiver only.
- AV output for viewing on a TV etc or recording (recorder is an optional item).
- Works with up to 4 digital-wireless cameras.
- Powered from 240V mains power adapters (included).
- Wireless colour CCD Camera with wide angle lens
(up to 4).
- 500+m wireless transmission (line of sight).
- 12 ultra bright IR LEDs for night vision up to 10m (auto activated, monochrome image).
- Weather proof IP65 camera in rugged, heavy duty zinc alloy housing.
- Versatile mounting bracket.
- Powered from 240V mains power (adapter included).
- Optional 8dB aerial with 3m-10m fly lead (standard camera aerial is 2.5dB)
The range of the system is increased through the use of a high gain directional aerial(s) tailored to your specific needs. The range of transmission is 500+m where there is good line of sight (note 2). Aerials with higher gain increase reception range, however, aerial fly leads induce losses and as an example a 3m lead will have a 1.7dB loss. Therefore fly leads/extension cables should only be used with higher gain aerials and not the standard aerials. Panel aerials are directional and should point towards each other.

A typical long range system would consists of:
1 x wide angle lens camera with 240V power adaptor
1 x digital receiver with 240V power adaptor
2 x high gain aerials
aerial cables & connectors
Prices are in the range £299 - £399 for a single camera system, without a recorder.

Basic (Short Range) System:
Utilising a standard DW system, or combination, of these systems, Trailer Vision™ can supply a package of cameras and monitors, or receivers to meet the needs of most short distance applications (up to 200m). DW systems can be used with up to 4 cameras and have a range of 200m (line of sight), it's also possible to use DW systems at the same time as wireless home networks.
Advantages:
- Wireless technology means no complicated installations, or the need to trail wires over long distances.
- The cameras can be used indoor and outdoors.
- Day and night capable.
- Up to 4 cameras can be used for multiple views.
- Can be connected to a standard TV monitor, computer or video recorder.
Limitations:
- Maximum range of 200m if there are no buildings/walls in the line of sight between the camera and monitor. Typically, transmission across a building etc can reduce this distance to 50m, but this will depend on the construction material of any buildings etc.
- The cameras require a local power supply that is sheltered from the weather.
Prices are as per the DW systems, with the addition of the mains adapters. Please contact us to discuss your specific requirements.

Notes
1. Actual picture quality is better than shown (due to limitations in the method of transfer and web compression), monitors shown are no longer available (replaced with the new DW systems).
2. At 2.4 GHz radio waves travel point to point, any obstacle between the transmitter (camera) and the receiver (monitor) will reduce the signal strength and degrade the picture. At short distances this effect is negligible, but at greater distances the effect cannot be ignored. EC and FCC laws restrict the power of the transmitter so range is boosted by increasing the gain of the receiver aerial (see panel aerial above). Different aerials will suit different requirements, which is why we recommend that you let us know your specific requirements. Optional, higher gain, aerials are also available for the cameras.
