What is the difference between analogue wireless systems and digital wireless (DW) systems?

- Analogue systems use the same technology/frequencies (2.4Ghz) as Bluetooth/wireless networks, therefore analogue monitors can pick up interference from Bluetooth phones/headsets etc. Digital systems are paired and only 'see' the digital signals, therefore there is no interference and range is also improved. Trailer Vision™ are the first/only company to supply DW systems to the equine market.

Why are Trailer Vision™ systems sometimes more expensive than ones on ebay etc?

- Trailer Vision™ only sell the best quality systems that have been fully tested in an equine environment. All Trailer Vision™ systems are supplied with everything that you will need to use them in a horsebox, or a trailer/car. All of our systems are unique and not available anywhere else (except from our stockist's). Trailer Vision™ has a proven track record and will continue to support it's customers with technical backup and product warranty/spares. Can anyone install the systems?

- Yes! A screwdriver is normally the only tool that you will require, but a drill may be required to install the camera on to metal roofs/walls. TVSN/DW cameras require the electrical power connection of positive (red) and negative (black) wires; the use/availability of a multi-meter is recommended.

Where is the best place to install the camera?

- Ideally at the rear of the horse(s) and as high as possible, this gives the best 'field of view'.

What if I don't want to drill my horsebox/trailer roof, or wall?

- No problem, the camera mount can be screwed/bolted to a piece of perspex/wood and then this can be 'bonded' (try No plate adhesive tape) to the trailer/horsebox roof, or wall.

What if I decide that I need additional camera's, or if I didn't order a part of the system that I would now like?

- No problem, you can order any part of the system at any time, but remember if you buy the full package, all together, you receive a package discount.

Are the systems water-proof?

- Yes, all cameras are water-proof although it is recommended that you avoid direct spraying by pressure washers etc.

Is there a 'reversing camera' available for the system?

- Yes, the TVSN/DW camera can also be used as a reversing camera, they incorporate a wide angle lens and monitor images are reversed to give 'rear-view mirror effect'. Additionally, the DW monitor(s) automatically switches to the reversing camera image, when reverse gear is engaged (single camera system). All analogue cameras are compatible with all analogue monitors and the DW cameras are compatible with the DW monitors; analogue and digital systems can not be mixed.

I've heard that wireless analogue systems suffer from interference?

- The systems use proven technology, that works, when there is any interference it can be overcome by switching off the other wireless device. Some makes of Bluetooth devices can cause interference with analogue systems, therefore if you can't/don't want to switch off your Bluetooth device, then please use any of the DW systems. (DW systems are interference free).

Are Trailer Vision™ systems wireless?

- Yes, except for 'TV Wired'. However, the wireless cameras (except TV101, which has an internal battery) need power, therefore a wire needs to be connected between the camera and a power source (12/24V), usually the interior/reversing light.

Can Trailer Vision™ systems be used in a horsebox?

- Yes! The systems are designed to be used in horseboxes or trailers (12/24V) and being wireless, no wires between the camera(s) and monitor, it makes installation very quick and easy.
